AEOI Head Mohammad Eslami dismisses rumors of uranium export while slamming baseless media speculation regarding the Oman negotiations.
Mohammad Eslami, the Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), has addressed the possibility of diluting Iran’s 60% enriched uranium stockpiles, stating that such a move is strictly dependent on the comprehensive lifting of all international sanctions against the country.
Speaking to reporters regarding the potential for uranium dilution as a reciprocal measure in negotiations, Eslami emphasized: “This issue depends entirely on whether they lift all sanctions in return or not.”
The nuclear chief further clarified that the exit or export of enriched uranium from Iran has not been a subject of the negotiations. He dismissed such claims as fabrications by “pressure elements” and external entities aiming to manipulate the diplomatic atmosphere.
Countering Media Misinformation on Oman Talks
This statement comes at a time when various international media outlets are being accused of distorting the core focus of the Iran-U.S. talks currently hosted in Oman. Sources suggest that a wave of baseless rumors is being used to shift the narrative of the negotiations.

Among these unfounded claims are reports suggesting a “complete halt” to Iran’s legal enrichment rights—a right clearly enshrined under the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). Furthermore, experts have debunked rumors claiming that Iran’s defensive missile program is part of the current diplomatic agenda. These speculative reports are viewed by Tehran as calculated attempts to spread misinformation and undermine Iran’s strategic interests and legal nuclear achievements.
