Iran has formally transmitted its response to a US proposal through diplomatic intermediaries, an informed source told Tasnim News Agency on Wednesday. The reply addressed all 15 points in the American document, and Iran is now awaiting Washington’s counter-response.
According to the source, Iran’s response stipulated that aggression and terrorism against Iran must stop, concrete guarantees must be established to prevent future wars, war damages must be compensated, hostilities must end across all fronts, and commitments by all resistance groups that participated in the conflict must be implemented across the region.
The source also underlined that Iran’s sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz is a natural and legal right. Tehran further demanded enforceable guarantees ensuring all parties comply with their commitments — conditions that go beyond what Iran presented in the second round of talks in Geneva, held shortly after the US-Israeli attack in late February.
